The Storm

It is hard this time of year not to think about the storm since Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas keep getting blasted with tornadoes. It has been 19 years today since the tornado placed a huge tree on the middle of our house in Arkansas and destroyed our home. Erin was called “Miracle Girl” in the local newspapers because she woke up, left her 2nd floor bedroom, and came to get me. Behind her, her room was squished under the tree and in to the living room. It doesn’t even seem real. If you want to the long version of the story – take Erin and/or I out for a beer sometime…the summer of 1989 was a crazy one.
